Description:

The MA in Italian Studies offers a range of modules in Italian language, linguistics and literature as well as the opportunity to develop a research methodology, through participation in the cross-School module in Research Skills. It caters for those who see the MA as an end in itself, as well as for anyone wishing to proceed to further research.

Students follow a language module in each semester (these modules focus mainly on translation and on prose composition), a Research Skills module and 3 other modules (sample listed below). As well as producing coursework for each of these modules, students write a dissertation in their particular area of interest. They are also encouraged to attend and contribute to regular research seminars in the School.
